We know how stressful and time-consuming it can be dealing with an employment law issue or an Employment Tribunal claim, so let us help you by shouldering the burden.

About Us

Employment Law Specialists

We are experienced and talented employment law specialists.

We fight hard for our clients and get results.

We know how stressful and time-consuming it can be dealing with an employment law issue or an Employment Tribunal claim, so let us help you by shouldering the burden.

We are expert employment lawyers and have a superb record in representing our clients. We provide a seamless, cost-effective service means that you will have peace of mind from start to finish.

Our lawyers would be pleased to help you. Claims are undertaken either by our specialist employment law solicitors, employment law barristers or a senior employment law Advocate. Our team has up to twenty years experience in employment law claims with expertise in claims of whistleblowing, sex discrimination, race discrimination, age discrimination, disability discrimination, unfair dismissal, redundancy, compromise agreements, bullying and harassment, and stress claims.

We provide an extremely high standard of service at a lower cost than many comparable firms because we operate as a modern, efficient and highly skilled team. That is why our clients have provided us with such positive feedback: see what our clients say about us.

Most importantly: you are at the heart of all that we do.

Unlike other firms, we represent our clients from beginning to end. You will have the same dedicated lawyer and advocate assigned to you throughout all legal proceedings so that we can assure the highest care is provided to you and your case.

Most other firms will require you to hire an employment law solicitor and then pay for an employment advocate as well (usually a barrister). Not only does this cost you more but you end up with an inferior service. In such instances you will not deal with the same lawyer all the way through your case and, despite spending much more money, you will often only meet your barrister for a very limited time or sometimes not even until the day of the hearing. Your barrister will not know much about your case until very late (often too late) because your solicitor will maintain control of it. Your barrister will often not have time to prepare properly for your hearing as s/he will be struggling with other clients and other cases. This leads to vital information being lost or misunderstood and vital evidence being missed or overlooked.

In contrast, we employ experienced employment law advocates who work directly for us. This means that the same lawyers deal with you from beginning to end. All of our lawyers are experts – which means they know how to advise and represent you to the highest standards.

Not only that but our lawyers charge a lower rate than many less experienced lawyers at other firms.

In fact we will beat any reasonable quote from comparable employment lawyers.

Our commitment to you

Our commitment to our clients can be summarised by our three core values that are at the heart of our guiding principle:

  • excellence in our work;
  • a commitment to your case to achieve the best possible result
  • providing the best value to our clients.

Excellent service at excellent value.

Here are some of the reasons why you will find that we provide a high standard of service to you:

  • you will have direct personal contact with your lawyer (our lawyers do not hide behind junior lawyers or secretaries);
  • your lawyer will be an expert employment lawyer – we will not allocate your case to a junior unless you ask us to do so
  • you will not have to hire a second lawyer (usually a barrister) to represent you at Employment Tribunal. Our expert employment law advocates have a high level of success due to the level of skill and experience they possess. They will be able to represent you at Employment Tribunal without the need to hire another lawyer

We have employment lawyers London as well as other employment law specialists who are available to work nationwide. We are only a phone call away and can arrange to meet at serviced offices around the country.

Our lawyers are all expert employment lawyers

We are confident that our lawyers and employment law specialists will provide you with a high standard of service. We say this for the following reasons:

Experience

Our lawyers and employment law specialists have years of experience of employment law and Employment Tribunals. They have been involved in both smaller cases (1-2 day unfair dismissal claims) to very large and complex claims (10-25 day complex discrimination involving claims millions of pounds). Very few other law firms can offer this breadth of experience at the rates we charge;

Commitment

You will find our lawyers and employment law specialists to be very committed to winning your case.  We will use our extensive experience, our commitment, our knowledge of the law and most importantly our sound judgement to ensure you have the best possible prospect of succeeding;

Effective

Our lawyers and employment law specialists have been involved in litigation at the highest levels  (see some of our case studies) as well as standard 1-2 day cases. We know how to present your case well and to be tough and effective;

Sensible

We will provide you with sensible, sound advice.  We will be honest and to the point in order to make sure your legal fees are kept to a minimum;

How do we provide this level of service ?

We can provide a high standard of service because of the following.

We do not waste money;  The fees you pay go to working on your claim. If you pay for a senior lawyer a senior lawyer will work on your claim. That only seems fair to us.

Quality not billing targets; We provide a very high quality service and focus on your results rather than billing targets. Quite simply we will not compromise on quality.

We do not overload our lawyers; many firms overload their lawyers with work. You will find problems talking to them, problems receiving replies, forgetting deadlines, not submitting documents on time – everything will be left to the last-minute and rushed. This happens because they are overworked.

At NEL we concentrate on you the client in order to provide a very high standard of service.
