I get a great deal of job satisfaction from my work and achieving great results for our clients.
After 17 years experience in employment law, 15 years with my own caseload, I still like to go the “extra mile”. I find it very satisfying to help our clients achieve their goal, whether it is some advice on an employment law issue or preparing for an Employment Tribunal claim. I work hard to make sure our clients are at the forefront of what I do.
I have many years of experience in Employment Tribunal claims, advising clients on contentious and non-contentious employment law matters. I advise individuals, employers and HR managers.
Earlier in my career I spent 9 years preparing cases on behalf of a large and heavily unionised London local authority when it appeared as a respondent at the Employment Tribunal and/or as an appellant or respondent at the Employment Appeal Tribunal and the Court of Appeal. I advised council managers, HR officers, head teachers and school governors on various aspects of employment law.
I then moved to the private sector gaining vast amounts of experience advising individuals and employers from various sectors including the transport, manufacturing and banking sectors.
In addition to being an employment lawyer and a chocoholic I am a trustee for two charities, one providing financial help to the elderly in Camberwell, Peckham and Dulwich, the other distributing grant funding to registered charities and not-for-profit organisations working with disadvantaged African and African-Caribbean children and youth who reside in Lambeth, Lewisham or Southwark.
